I love to travel. I’m a professional ski instructor, avid rock climber, and commercial fisherman. I’m also a nerd who loves board games and D&D. I spend my summers on the bearing sea in Alaska fishing for salmon and the rest of the year skiing and traveling.

I am the Co-founder of the LA Comic con, but stepped down from my position as VP to travel and live abroad in New Zealand. I spend at least 50 days a year skiing and I’m a level 2 certified ski instructor.

I love road trips to National Parks and ski destinations and I once road a bicycle from Seattle to Los Angeles. I’ve traveled all over California and grew up here so if you’re on a vacation in my state, I can help you find the best places to visit. My Father is from Argentina and I speak pretty good Spanish as well.

I’m an excellent cook according to those who have eaten in my home and am used to cooking for large groups of people. Cooking is one of my many hobbies and I love sharing great meals with people.

I have hosted many travelers in my lifetime, just not through this app and have also been lucky to have others host me in my travels. I believe in helping people when they travel and enjoy learning about other cultures and making new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people in foreign countries to learn more about their culture and to host people traveling abroad and show them around California. Also to make friends to go skiing and climbing with while I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like rock and roll, EDM, and anything that’s fun to dance to. Queen and David Bowie are my favorite artists ever and I like a lot of old school punk rock. My favorite movies are anything by Terry Gilliam, Quentin Tarantino, and Kubrick. Huge fan of cheesy 80s movies and pop culture. I love Sci-fi, fantasy and adventure novels, Stephen King, and a lot of philosophy and science books like Stephen pinker, Sam Harris, and Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach skiing and have been a children’s instructor for 13 years. If you visit me in the winter, I’d be more than happy to teach you how to ski or give you some pointers. I like to learn about history and culture as well as science and philosophy. Life’s a finite thing and I spend as much free time cramming my brain with knowledge and nonsense. I love sharing adventures, laughs, good food and stories.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you how to ski, take you rock climbing, DM a D&D game, Cook for you, or just share some laughs and fun stories. I’m also a handyman and would be happy to help with home improvement projects and repairs.
