About Me

Hey Guys, I am a 23 year old exchange student studying currently in Durham, North Carolina. Since I am leaving the States in Summer 2016, I am looking forward to travel as much as my schedule and my wallet allow me to do. I also love meeting new interesting people from a different cultural background. Finally, I would consider myself as a laid back and clean person, so don't worry about your couch or matress if you are willing to host me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I think it is the best way to get authentic contact to locals and meet new open-minded people. Besides that, I am a student which means that I am constantly crying while looking at my bank account.

Interests

I am very interested in different cultures and cities, which also make up a huge amount of my studies in university. I am also very interested in political and economic developments. So basically, I really like to talk with people about a lot of different stuff in a relaxed atmosphere.

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment I like listen to some Trap like Alison Wonderland or RL Grime. Jamie XX or Bonobo when it should be a little more chilled. Daughter, Sufjan Stevens, Alt-J as well. Good German Underground Rap. That's the actual mood.

Movies that I like are Blood Diamond, Snowpiercer, A Touch of Sin, In Bruges, Berlin Calling and Death at a Funeral.

Books are Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates, Peking by Anthony Gray, To Our Friends by The Invisible Comittee, Society of the Spectacle by Guy Debord, The Origins of Urban Crisis by Thomas Sugrue and The Enigma of Capital by David Harvey.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will definetely be a super nice guest who is trying to help you with cleaning the dishes for example and keep the space clean. Unfortunately my cooking skills are still work in progress, so a perfect meal should not be expected. Moreover, I really like to hangout and talk to new people, but I of course also respect your privacy if you are not in the mood for social contact at some point.
