About Me

Hey fellow hosts and surfer,

I'm Pan, my homebase is Berlin. I'm a musician and whenever I find the time, I travel around Europe to play concerts and street shows or maybe just for the sake of meeting new people and discovering new places!
I'm a big friend of badly told jokes and word humour.

I play guitar for a living, if you're curious, you can find me here: http://panchimzee.com

Maybe you're a guitarist, too? I'm running the Berlin Acoustic Guitar Night: http://berlinacousticguitarnight.com

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is the better way of actually meeting and discovering new places and humans of this planet. (Haven't tried the other planets yet)

I want to discover a city by its inhabitants and their thoughts, culture and perspectives. I like personality rather than conformity.

Music, Movies, and Books

Any music that is truthful, honest or sound that hits me in whatever kind of way, is music I enjoy listening/dancing to. That could be medieval folk songs, classical music, instrumental-newage-experimental fusion-indie-rockabilly(?), psy-trance or an old man playing a saw on the side of the road.

I seem to enjoy those movies the most, that surprise me, the thought-provoking ones. And the ones which send me gently on a journey of unique atmospheres with well shot scenes or a purely amazing soundtrack!
(Old Boy, City of God, Memento, A Scanner Darkly, Waking Life, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Eternal Sunshin of the Spotless Mind)

Whenever I read books, it's usually philosophy, about lucid dreaming or DMT.
I've been looking for the book 'The Man who Rode the Thunder' for the last several years, let me know if you have it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Full moon longboarding at midnight around croatian islands with beloved soundtracks on ear.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always happy to learn and exchange thoughts about whatever topic.
For me, teach, learn & share are basically the same thing and go hand in hand.

I can teach the German & English language, several instruments, a ridiculously small but simple bit of breakdance aaand juggling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughter, wine, philosophical thought adventures, tickets to concerts, music
(hey, what about a living room concert? I cook & play, and you invite your friends!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In
