About Me

Hi there,

so about me... well, where to start? I wanted to start saying how much I love Couchsurfing and how great it is to live in a time where it is possible to be part of such a community, but actually that's not really about myself... or is it? :)

Maybe some more personal info. So I grew up in, what I thought to be, a nice, big town. When I tell you that this town has 10,000 inhabitants most of you will probably fall off your chair, but I still believe a community of 10,000 people is relatively big in size because just imagine how many stories those people are able to share and each and everyone could change your life.

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life to the fullest, spread fun and good mood!

ABOUT ME

I like to meet new people and listen to their stories. I remember that one night at a CS event in Hong Kong where I talked to people from all over the world. There was that British guy, who was part of the British "Navy Seal" version and looked death into the eye more than once. He then changed to the UNICEF to engage is some refugee help program. Then I met that Indian girl, Laksha (no idea if the spelling is right), who lives in China and works for an Data-Sharing App that is used by about 10 (or was it 100?) million people. Then I met the Bangla guy, who looks like that one Indian actor Aziz Ansari (he actually told me a lot of people tell him that xD) and when we started talking about religion he insisted on believing in shit because nowadays people should be able to believe in basically anything. And oh... I really want to share the story of that Belarus guy, though I met him one week later. He just graduated and went to China for travelling without any money. He only came to HK in order to renew his visa for China and the day I met him he told me he slept in McDonald's the night before because he couldn't find any other place. I know... that made me sad too, so I just had to invite him for a white Russian (please note in German Belarus is called White Russia, yes... too funny, isn't it :D)!

PHILOSOPHY

When you learn, teach. when you get, give.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

well... as I mentioned in the "about me" section I first and foremost love CS for the people and their stories and I only have minor experience with the original concept of CS (surfing and hosting)... only surfed once with a super nice Italian guy in Rome (where I eventually lived for half a year) and I hosted two people, a super crazy, adorable couple from Washington (state) that lived in Napoli for 4 years and has recently moved to Belgium (btw did I already mention that I adore such stories?) and one Spanish guy that went to study in Germany afterwards.

I'm currently doing an international exchange (kind of an internship) in HK (yes, plenty to stories to share also from my side :D) and here I'm visiting CS events regularly. I also went to CS events in Dublin and Lyon and I just love the atmosphere of those events.
