About Me

CURRENT MISSION:
As usual, I'm engaged on my quest to find out what the hell is going on and save humanity from my nemesis, some bastard who's presumably responsible.

Also I'm traveling Portugal in July together with my girlfriend (around Porto first, at the NOS ALIVE festival in Lisbon later, then visiting the Azores from July 10th and hitchhiking back to Vienna (boat-&autostop) probably in August.
As the last 3 years allowed for little traveling and hosting, we're really looking forward to new adventures and everyone we meet along the way :)

PHILOSOPHY:
"Vivre le plus!"

Open minded guy with many fields of interest, very outgoing and easy to get along with. Also quite tall and therefore very useful if you need sth. from the top of a shelf. Also quite helpful if there's too much good food and not enough people to eat it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Fell in love with this way of travelling during my first hitchhiking adventure that lead me to Freiburg, Strasbourg, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Malmö, Milano, Montpellier, Barcelona, Valencia, Barcelona again, Nizza and back to Vienna in 2016, all by couchsurfing and autostop: An experience I'll never forget - it really was a blast!
I was absolutely amazed how many lovely people I met along the journey. I'll be surfing/hosting again whenever possible (prefer surfers who'd host me back or did so already, who wanna stay longer than one day and spend some time together).

Music, Movies, and Books

Always grateful for good recommendations!

Music:
Since I listened to the White Stripes for the first time, I couldn't wait to see them live and Jack White really played the best concert I've ever been to!
Kasabian, The Strokes, David Bowie, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Clash, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, James Brown, Sigur Rós, Gorrilaz, Franz Ferdinand, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, Ludovico Einaudi, Guts, ..., some good ol' dirty hip hop (Rugged Man, Dilated Peoples, Nas, Da Grassroots, Mobb Deep, MF Doom, Wu-Tang Clan... )
There's plenty to discover in pretty much every genre...
Electronic music like Nicolas Jaar, NU, Worakls, David August a lot from labels like Steyoyoke, Diynamic, Hungry Music, Innervisions... but also funky stuff and relaxed organic sounds...
Only recently started to really getting into jazz thanks to a Haruki Murakami playlist...

Movies:
Jim Jarmusch, Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen...

TV shows:
Lillehammer, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Last Week Tonight, South Park, Family Business, Norsemen, ...

Books:
Camus, Sartre, Murakami, Canetti, Hermann Hesse, David Foster Wallace, Robert Greene, Daniel Goleman... everything that draws me in...

To be continued....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Held my breath for 5 minutes

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach you to swim fast (freestyle and butterfly), some basics about freediving, chess, go and other games, cooking, chillin in a hammock, languages, how to develop a serious addiction to Italian Gelato... Happy to learn about you and everything you wanna teach :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughs and some good conversation,
I love cooking and a good dinner is a nice way of giving back. Cleaning after myself goes without saying, happy to help where it's needed.
