About Me
My girlfriend Hannah and I are visiting Iran from the 26th of December to the 1st of January. We will be flying in and out of Tehran. Our goal is to go skiing for 2 days close to Tehran and discover a little more of the region afterwards. We would love to find a nice host for a night that could maybe show us how to cook an Iranian dish :)
Happy and easy going. I love to learn and discover. I am passionate about sailing. My summer weekends are often spent competing at races, or at least out on the water with friends. In the colder months when the season is over, I finally get the chance to do some travelling without the tight schedule of a regatta weekend. My problem with travelling is, whenever I cross one place of the list I add three new places that I want to see. Out of boredom, I moved from Hamburg, Germany to Copenhagen in Denmark about three years ago. My life here takes place in a very international community, which is a lot of fun and has given me a lot of perspective on the world. I have learned the language and call Denmark my new home in which I am more than comfortable, but I also wonder where my next stop in live is going to be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a lot of friends that live in different parts of the world and I'd like to collect even more, so that every trip becomes a homecoming. Understanding a local's perspective also makes the travel experience 100x better!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've sailed from Bora Bora to Darwin, Australia on a 16m boat. I took the six of us four month and we got to stop at a lot of remote Islands along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you all the sailor's knots you'll ever need. I am also good at repairing things :)
