About Me

Hello beautiful people, I´m Fabi and I truly believe there are neither good nor bad situations. There is just causality that guides us into personal growth.

That’s why I jump into possibilities without questioning, being certain that it helps me progressing.

One life changing experience has been walking the Camino de Santiago. Through hiking every day, I discovered my inner, true self.

Ever since I foster an open-minded spirit and can’t get enough of traveling.

Some could say I’m a minimalist too.

My current challenge is to live in the present. It’s the hardest of them all, but also the most rewarding.

In the meantime I focus on exploring new things and reconnect with nature. Together with a friend I used to sleep in the forest once a week.

It’s super grounding and I believe in a lot of benefits, such as a clearer mind, more energy and a deeper understanding/connection to your surroundings.

Meditation is important in my life. My daily practice shows me how my mind works and that I’m not entirely my thoughts. Myself thinking mind is actually pretty limited a lot of times.

I also want to learn to dance salsa, but there is little progress cause I recently discover that I have hips.

Right now I live and volunteer in Mexico. There were a lot of signs thrown at my way that I couldn’t ignore and it’s the opposite of disappointing. It feels like home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This platform is amazing because it allows a closer look into each other’s cultures. I can see beyond the touristic things to do and get a taste of how it feels like to live a local lifestyle.

Besides I love to meet new people. There is just so much inspiration in each others life stories.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music shows no limits. I can enjoy almost every genre. There are so many great musicians out there and I want to dance to all of them. Except psytrance. My limbs find it hard to move to its rhythm.

To discover new stuff, I got in the habit of using the app Shazam, which is really annoying to my friends cause watching movies always gets interrupted by me trying to pin down a song.

When I’m free, I take the time to learn some Rap lyrics. My favorite is Eminem. It’s very hard to learn his songs though. His technique is very unique.

I’m pretty much into fantasy books. At the moment I’m rereading all Harry Potter books. It gets me right back to my childhood and offers a great escape from daily life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Staying up after hiking to Acatenango Base Camp Area next to Volcán de Fuego in Guatemala. Seeing around twelve eruptions through the darkness of the night blew my mind.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share some calm and peaceful energy with you, same as going wild and goofing around.

I’m always up for a breathing exercise or a yoga session. I love telling jokes or to hear them. There is always a great opportunity to go for a walk. I also could listen to and share music for forever.
