About Me

CURRENT MISSION: Actually we are in Dublin. Next stop: London. Still looking for a couch :)

Hey! First of all you have to know that this is an double profile. I'm on the road with a friend about an half a year so everything what you will read represents my own person once and my friends as another.

Allright I think I start with myself.

ME MYSELF AND I (FABI)

Hello evrybody my name is Fabian Schicht from the lovely Berlin. I'm an educater who loves children and who loves his work, his hometown and his girlfriend. but I reached a point in my life where something deeper tells me to leav my homezone to conquer the world and save the planet at least. So i start this crazy trip with a friend of mine. In my opinion travelling is one of the most important things in life and can offer a special kind of freedom.

HAKUNA MATATA

Hey and now how promised the second part (SOEREN)

I'm Soeren and i'm 25 years old too. I met Fabi around 2010 when we learn at the apprenticeship school. Since then we are good friends, see a lot of the world, having fun all the time.
I am a Educator too (:
Yeah whats the reason for doing that trip and looking for a couch? It's a very long story you have to forgive me but I think you see that my English is not the best,.. I'm not a hero of written words >,<
But I try my best.
The first time I think about traveling, I was around 14 years old. I hope for a million win in lotto and take all my friend with me to travel around the world.
But I never had the luck to win in lotto and the other thing is I was to young for it :P
When I was 16 I get my first chance to travel "freiwiliges Soziales Jahr" that's the german sentence for "voluntary social year" to Brazil. But I doesn't used it because there are too many things I cant leave in Berlin. For example my Grilfriend. But now after finishing the a lavel and after I have completed a vocational training I work about a year and collect as much money for the trip as possible. So I get my second chance and now I used it.
Our trip starts in amsterdam and leading us through Irland, the UK, France, spain, poland, india, thailand, indonesia, new zeeland, australia and back to germany.
I think its gone be one of the best times in my life
and I know that I need this journey for myself. I'm not the person who can stand still for a longer time. It's my time on earth and I paint the world as it LIKE =P.
It would be great to meet you I like the tourist spots but more than this I like the typical sides of countrys and citys which the locals know as its best.

Oh now i forgott to tell you some things about me.
I life in Berlin
I got an younger Brother
I love music and a lot of things people can do outside
In future i want to create my own center of education (I know its a long way but I think I can get it :) )
I love it to discuss about philosophy, politics, fantasy and about funny things
I like leopards because there are soo fast, my favorite color is blue, favorite Number 42 (--> Douglas Adams =P )
I am very bad in technological things, i love it to sleep very long and I hate mushrooms!!

Cheerio.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

(FABI)
I think it's the easiest way to meet locals in a unkown city. I allready don't like that boring flat-rate sightseeing-tourism. Couchsurfing offers the possibility to see the city you visit in the way the locals living there. Oh and you save a lot of money as well ;)

(SOEREN)
I described it a bit in the first part.
Meet new Places which a normal tourist never see, meet people who are open minded and with a open heart, sleep cheap, but the most important thing is to make as much different experiences on this trips as I can =D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fabi: the question is what amazing things we can do together :)
I steal a little tourist boat which left at a secluded place, together with my girlfriend. After a few hours on the sea we leave it at the beach. Shame on me, is that amazing? Don't think so but it was really exciting and funny :)
