I am a 19-year old German, originally from a small village near Fulda. At the moment I am travelling through New Zealand, willing to get into the amazing culture and lifestyle of this nation. I just finished my A- levels and want to study chemical engineering, when I am back home. I am a openminded person, willing to improve my English and to get in contact with people all over the world. During my school- time I have had a parttime job as lifeguard in a swimmingpool close to my village.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get in contact with new people. In addition to that Couchsurfing is an amazing way to find out about things, that are a must-do in a place. It is much easier to learn about a culture and a lifestyle, when you are around with locals instead of other foreigners in hostels.

Interests

I am a voluntary firefighter and member of a shooting club back home. I am also singing in a choire. Of course it is important for me to stay in contact with my friends and to find new friends as well. Working with young people is always fun for me, that's why I also run a youth- club belonging to our church at home.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading thrillers, that's why my favourite author is Stephen King. But honestly: Goethe is also not so bad. :) Literature about current politics and problems of the world is important for me as well.
My favourite music everything, that you can easily sing and has a good beat. My favourites are Billy Talent and Eminem.
It gets difficult, when the question of movies is to answer. I am oretty often busy, so there is not much time to see a movie. But if, then Thrillers are the best.
