My current mission is to travel around the Adria sea, starting in Lubiljana, continuing to Croatia and Albania. After the ferry to Italy, traveling north again. I'm doing this journey on my own, I want to do things I've never done before and see places I have never been to. I will mainly travel by train and bus and want to go for Couchsurfing here and there to have a more authentic experience of the countries. I'm easy going, uncomplicated and open minded. I enjoy nature a lot but also the city life, so I'm trying to get out as much as possible.

In my professional life I'm a researcher focused on the Arctic. Climate change effects on the landscapes (permafrost) is a huge topic for me. I studied geography in Dresden (Germany) in my bachelor's, and my master's in Stockholm (Sweden). Since last autumn I'm back in Dresden where I worked at the university for the last semester. Now I'm having a gap until my next position starts. I'm using this for my current travels :)

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and I like to visit a country not like a typical tourist. I want to grow with new (let's say unconventional) experiences.

兴趣

I'm basically up for any sport and outdoor activity. I enjoy hiking and (wild) camping a lot. At the same time I'm a techno lover, enjoying clubs and bars.

I listen to all types of music but I guess my most listened genre is techno. Nevertheless, I also listen and go to punk and metal concerts. Music plays a important part in my life.
I watch less movies or TV show, have no Netflix account etc. However I do enjoy movies but with friends. Great movies are e.g. "Into the wild", "The Martian" or "The Shawshank Redemption".
Usually I'm already reading so much for work that I'm tired of it in my time off. But currently I'm actually reading a book from the 1950s which is fun.
