ABOUT ME

I'm currently a student/intern and I usually live Switzerland. I am trying to have as many new experiences as possible and also advance my career at the same time. I study International Affairs and worry about all the things that do not go right in the world. One problem I am interested in solving is the topic of forests and how they can coexist with people who can profit from the trees without cutting them down.

As a guest I am always respectful and I love to talk about anything really. It's important to me that my hosts are never inconvenienced by my presence and so far I always had an awesome time.

I'm interested in sports (soccer, hiking, etc.), different cultures and in other more "boring" issues like politics and economics.
I got started with Couchsurfing in Canada and the US where I spent a couple months after highschool. Usually I was camping but from time to time it was nice to be indoors.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been to quite a few countries without really meeting local people and I was always missing this crucial element of travelling. So CS gives me the chance to add this to the experience and it's always fun. I can host 45 minutes outside of Zürich, in Schinznach. Unfortunately we do not get many CS requests on the countryside. I have hosted two girls from Kazachstan in Schinznach. They liked it very much and compared it to the Shire. You should come too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A lot of good experiences in North America, Europe and Africa. Never had a really bad experience. I'm quite easygoing and try to be polite and that's how I experienced all the Couchsurfing people so far.
I am not the type of person who just sleeps on the couch of the people and goes out to party during the nights or whatever. Instead I am happy if I can be a part of your every day life and we just hang out and talk. I usually don't run around the city and try to check off all the top 100 attractions, really I just want to get a feeling for a city, see how the people are, try the food.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

A huge whale in California! We were sitting at the beach and watching dolphins when suddenly a giant whale appeared! Only 50m away from the coastline. Well and then I canoed down the Yukon river (with bears and rapids).

I love to talk about all kinds of stuff. I love to hear other perspectives on their home country. It is always very interesting to get a feeling for the people in a certain place. I think nowadays especially with the internet it is very easy to confirm its own views over and over and never be exposed to other perspectives.
