About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Filling this melon on my shoulders with Information.

ABOUT ME

I like to see myself as easy-to-handle and open minded, impossible to enrage and maybe a little too relaxed, pessimistic and life-confirming, philantropic and nihilistic. I guess i'm educated, nevertheless I think of myself as far far too stupid, meaning there is still a lot to learn. I like to have a good time and/or go out (suffering from a bad hangover included) . I'm very inerested in pretty much everything and try to share my knowledge as well, but I fear that I tend to lecture. of course I have a passion for travelling, meeting new people, or old/known ones, music, movies, art, philosophy, science, politics, poetry, literature, psychology, economy, law etc.

PHILOSOPHY/HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until Summer 2015 I have had some heavily cheesy basic philosophic crap written in this section. I felt it was time to change that.

First of all: I got hooked by CS because of the possibility of cheap travel and free overnight stay, but very soon I realized, that its much more than just an easy way to safe money. Over the years i had almost exclusively good experiences with guests and hosts. By now CS is synonymical to me for Intercultural intellectual exchange, altruism and non-monetary thinking.

Anyway, the beauty of it lies within the possibility to meet locals and to be introduced to a strange new culture, country or language in an authentic way. You can even make some friends while you're/they're there.

I try to let these thoughts mirror my style of hosting, meaning, that i will try to
make some free time for my guests, talking drinking, walking through town, whatever...
