The easiest way to get to know mostly anything about me is to just ask :) I like to call myself open-minded, even though that always depends on the point of view I guess. Anyhow I'm a rather calm and relaxed kind of person, I like to hang out, enjoy good company and plan my days as they fly by.

I studied for the most part of my short life, but after my bachelors, I took a year off, working on a sheep farm on the Lofoten in Norway and it was great :) I feel we all should take some time for ourselves to get to know us better!
Anyhow, I am back studying and started my PhD in beautiful Alberta, Canada.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I have been hosted by many different people in my life, not just on couchsurfing, also in differnt ways and on different occasion. I experienced mostly kindness and curiosity. I joined couchsurfing because I want to do my part, give back some of the nice experiences I gained and I want to contribute by sharing knowledge and opinions from different places and cultures in the world.

Interessen

I like to cook and recently I got interested in Photography. I really enjoy spending my time in company, have good conversations, maybe a tasteful beverage in my hand and then just feel the time passing by.
I also like to read or improve my really bad guitar/ piano skills (which is not going very well to be honest). I like to spend time outside in the Rockies, hiking, rafting, mountain biking, canoeing, basically anything...
And finally I enjoy laying down in the sunshine and feel the warmth on my belly, while listening to some good music, or just socialize with people and talk about everything that comes to mind.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

It is kind of difficult to narrow it down to one amazing experience in my life.
But I will always remember the night I spend in the amazon rainforest, sleeping in a hammock, being surrounded by the sounds of nature and having the pleasure of being hosted by a native tribe.
