I am Fabiën, I am 31 and recently moved to Leiden for work.
I am fond of adventures, but these adventures can include hitchhiking as much as embroidery.

PHILOSOPHY

I think that you don't need to have a lot to enjoy life. I like mental posessions more than material.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like to travel. Lots of people like to travel, most of them go to exotic places across the oceans. I think that is a pity: there are lots of places close to home that are worth exploring! So I did travel a lot in the Netherlands and in Germany, Belgium, France and Denmark.
I like to visit small towns on my trips and interact with the locals. The people make the country what it is. That's why I like couchsurfing so much.

Some years ago, I hitchhiked with a friend from Denmark to Hungary. During our trip we slept on couches in Leipzig, Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest. Some we liked more than others: especcially because of the trouble people took to show us the town and nice places to eat.

In Bratislava we also visited a picknick-dinner with other couchsurfers.

My job, that's number one. I love to teach the little children and students about nature.

I just recently started dancing tango. But I'm more familiar with Belgian folkmusic and from time to time I go to a folk ball and festivals. (www.balfolk.nl/foto.php)

My boyfriend, a very special guy.

Musica, film e libri

I love movies with beautiful pictures and music. Because I don't hace a tv in my home, I often watch my movies over and over, so it is nice to watch movies live they are paintings in wich more and more details can be discovered.

And like I said before: I love folk music (an example: http://www.myspace.com/aedomusic).

I read all kind of books... I have got cook books, fantacy books, books about nature and biology, books about history and language books.

Pfff... I have seen a lot of interesting things.

I have been in a rainforest in Ireland. a one in a lifetime experience! Not as warm as a jungle, but just as green. A real hidden fairy forest.

And I always tell people I have been a magician assistant.

Teaching is what I do all day...

I am skilled in medieval handcrafts: tabletweaving, combweaving, brocateweaving, sprangen, needlebinding, dyeing wool with plants, fine embroidery, sewing, medieval cooking.

I am skilled in drawing: carbon pencils, inks, aquarel.

Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa

A nice appartment in a green environment, close to the sea. But the big cities of the Neatherlands nearby.
Note: badly accessible by public transport.
