My name is Fabienne and I'm a 19 year old student at university in Tübingen, Germany. I'm studying biology and geography to become a teacher. Growing up I lived in Constance at the beautiful Lake Constance in the South of Germany. Since I was little I always went on vacation with my parents and now that I'm old enough to travel on my own, I want to keep visiting new places and learn about other cultures. I love to be out in nature, hiking, skiing or going biking. Nevertheless I enjoy reading just as much.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

As I already said, I absolutely love travelling. I found out about Couchsurfing trough a friend who has done it for many years and told me some insane stories, he experienced with his hosts in different parts of the world. Since he always seemed to enjoy it, I decided to try it myself. I really admire the idea behind the concept. I think it's a great way to meet locals and have someone who knows the city you are in. Also I picture it quite fun, exchanging thoughts and perhaps even spending the day together instead of just seeing it as a place to stay (which still would be perfectly fine though.). In the future when I have my own place I definitely plan on taking travelers in myself but at this point in my life it just isn't possible.

I can sit and read for hours if I've got the time:) My absolute favourite books are Harry Potter, but I read nearly everything, as long as it is Fantasy. The same applies to movies. I watched Lord of the rings, Harry Potter of course and lately I've been obsessed with Game of Thrones. I enjoy a good Comedy as well though.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Uhh gosh that's difficult, since I've been so many places and was lucky enough to experience amazing things all over the world. Probably I'd say swimming and snorkeling with sharks, manta rays, penguins, seals and other animals on the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. That was an experience I will never forget! But paragliding over the Lac d' Annecy was also pretty memorable.

Since I am quite new to Couchsurfing I don't really know what could be interesting to my possible hosts. Since I've been to a lot of places though I could share stories about my travelings or just be there to get to know a new culture. I'm really open minded and would love to get to know locals and simply exchange experiences or have someone to talk to.
