Overview
About Me
I consider myself a passionate person and I always try not to judge from the appearances yet to go beneath the surface.
My "student" background is a career in mathematics; I've just obtained a PhD in applied mathematics (stochastic processes and random graphs for those willing to know :-p). But I do (and used to do) many collateral things: work as a photographer, love cooking and discovering new bistros and restaurants, passionate about wine, art, tea, ethical conferences and everything you can imagine (the list is too long!).
I spent my first 23 years in Tuscany, in contact with nature and my lovely family. Then studies brought me a little bit in Singapore and then in Paris, where I'm living right now. Here in Paris, there's not a lot of nature, but I try to survive :) Practicing Aïkido, going running and climbing as much as possible for my full-time schedule, I try to "feed" my spiritual life as well.
I care about human problems and I really appreciate those who struggle to understand what is going on in their personal life: what do I expect from my life? why am I here right now? do I really need this? Am I happy?
I'm sensitive to the question of earth rights. I am a slow-food person, trying to eat local, avoiding industrial food as much as possible. I believe that "saving ourselves" starts by caring about the place we live in, the nature that surrounds us, the air we breathe, the people around.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing by chance. My first time was in Jakarta and I just fell in love with this idea: sharing a house, but also sharing your time with another person, living together for a short time and then quitting as you know each others since a long time. It's simply amazing and it helps to be more open and open-minded.
I'm looking for passionate people and for sharing these passions, for making durable links.
This is not the only reason of course ! A big motivation at the beginning was the fact that I love travelling alone and CS helped and helps me doing this: feel the journey as much as possibile as it comes through, without planning, or expecting, too much. A real journey !

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can listen and I can talk, what is better than sharing time with someone?
I'm an enthusiastic person (especially when I'm travelling!).
PS I can obviously share a good bottle of wine, or a beer, or a calvados, or a génépi, or... whatever you like !
