About Me

Hi! I'm Fabio Echeverry, a 30-year-old with a deep passion for the arts, particularly music and content creation. My curiosity and love for languages have led me to appreciate diverse cultures.

I've had the opportunity to travel around the world and explore the richness of my own country. Through these experiences, I've learned that the best part of any place is the people you meet along the way.

When I'm not working, you'll likely find me immersed in composing music. I also enjoy cooking, though I'm still learning. Even so, I'd love to share a meal and a great conversation.

While I'd love the chance to engage in authentic, enriching conversations with those I share space with, I completely understand if you're not very talkative and will respect that. It will be a pleasure to meet you and share this adventure together!

You can also get to know me through my Insta @EstoyGrisz

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My main interest in Couchsurfing is to connect with amazing people, share stories, and create lifelong memories. I consider myself open-minded, respectful, and always eager to listen and learn from others.

Interests

Arts and Creativity: As a producer and content creator, I'm always seeking ways to express my creativity. I enjoy film, concerts, festivals, and photography, and I love experimenting with new formats and projects.

Gastronomy: Cooking is something I've recently grown to love, especially when it comes to traditional Colombian dishes. There's nothing like preparing a homemade meal to share with friends or new acquaintances, and I'm always eager to exchange recipes and learn about culinary traditions from other places.

Technology and Marketing: My interest in digital marketing and social media is not just part of my career; it's also a passion. I enjoy staying updated on the latest tech trends and exploring how they can be used to connect people and tell stories in innovative ways.

Culture and Travel: I'm fascinated by new cultures, and my love for languages has driven me to study different tongues. Each place has something unique to offer, from food to local customs, and I love discovering it all firsthand. I'm also interested in history and architecture, and I can spend hours exploring museums and historical sites.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since I was a child, I grew up listening to rock bands like Radiohead, Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Deftones, Korn, Incubus, and many others in that style. During my teenage years, I entered the punk rock era, listening to bands like Green Day, Blink-182, Rancid, and even Metalcore bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Bring Me the Horizon, Asking Alexandria, and more.

In adulthood, I became much more interested in alternative rock and indie rock, diving deep into bands like The 1975, The Neighbourhood, The Kooks, and Jungle. Recently, I've developed a passion for electronic music and its many subgenres, such as Melodic, Psytrance, Hard Techno, and Minimal. As a result, my musical tastes are quite diverse, and if you have something new to share with me musically, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm always open to discovering new sounds.

I also make music. You can hear me by searching GRISZ in all streaming platforms 😅

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like to think of my life as a book, with each chapter or season bringing new characters, interesting events, and even some drama with its own resolution. One of the most memorable episodes in this novel called life was when I decided to go skydiving after a breakup with someone I thought was the love of my life. From that moment on, I became a fan of extreme sports.

Another significant experience was my first trip to Europe, where I met incredible people in every city I visited. It was also the first time I saw snow, which, while common in many countries, is not in mine. You can imagine how emotional that was—hahaha!

Finally, perhaps the most life-changing event was beating cancer during the pandemic. I've done several extreme things in my life, but battling that disease definitely takes the prize. However, it wasn't all bad; it taught me to value life much more, and since then, I've lived with the mindset of making the most of every moment. I strive to live without the regret of not pursuing what I've always wanted, all while ensuring I respect others' integrity and contribute my best.
