About Me

Friendly, easygoing and open-minded guy living in Zurich and occasionally traveling around.
I'm actually using Couchsurfing for the first time, that's why it looks a bit empty here reference and friends-wise...

I love discovering new places and enjoy meeting new people, like-minded or otherwise, as long as we know what to talk about. I like discussing serious topics and appreciate if people have strong opinions.
But of course the casual chat about the weather is not a no-go for me.

I do sightseeing, but I don't like to think of myself as a tourist. Hence I always try to stay with people I know from somewhere or I have some kind of connection to. Ideally they are locals of the place I visit, so I can get an actual insight into the life in a particular place, and get to know about secret spots and hidden gems...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think sharing has great importance in regards to a future worth living in, and I am in strong favour of money-free solutions wherever possible. On that note I think Couchsurfing is a pretty good thing!

Interests

All like all kinds of sports but the one I can say I practice more or less decently is windsurfing. And I love It!
I have tried surfing as well, and I like to play tennis, squash, volleyball, soccer, frisbee etc. I like to swim (lets call it bathing) and I even go for a run every now and then!

I'm interested in all kinds of arts, mostly design but also fine art, performing arts and of course music. Pop and mainstream stuff is not my thing at all, other than that I try to be open towards everything. But electronic music is what I find most fascinating, Techno and Micro House being the favourites.

Fairly recently I have also become quite interested in politics and even economics. Actually, these topics are of increasing importance to me! I wish more people realised and acknowledged that there is an individual and collective duty to overthink and change certain things we've been told are unchangeable..!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Should this be something I find amazing or others would find amazing if I told them..?
I try to remind myself to see the big and amazing in little things.

Teach, Learn, Share

cooking, photographing, windsurfing, talking a language I speak... we'll find something!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I definitely have quite a few interesting stories and experiences to share. Other than than I'm up for sharing pretty much everything that makes sense sharing. I could well picture myself giving a lesson in Swiss cuisine, for instance.
