Hey, my name is Fabio, I'm a 23 year old student from Karlsruhe, Germany, currently in my final year studying mathematics.
I do travel a lot and have seen most of Europe - only the eastern part is missing, which is already planned for future vacations.
I have roots in Portugal, which is why I'm currently learning portuguese, but I'm still at the beginning. Nevertheless I'm fluent in English.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm relatively new to couchsurfing. This summer is the first time I'm travelling by myself and I thought I might finally give it a shot. I'm keen on meeting locals and "understanding" the city I'm in instead of just being a visitor to it (if that does make any sense to you).
If this goes well (and I have no idea why it should not) I would love to welcome guests myself to my couch and somewhat becoming a tourist in my own city again.

Interests

At home, besides studying, I hang out a lot with friends and most of the time some beer. Besides that I do judo since I can think.
On holidays I like to see as much as I can during the day and in the evening I love to visit local pubs and meet other travellers or locals there.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is really mixed - I like pretty much any genre if the music is cool.
My problem with music however is that I'm listening to one album extensively till I can't hear it anymore, after that I'm doing a 180 turn and start listening to a completely different album till I can't hear it anymore.

With books and movies I do prefer fantasy books, I'm currently sunken in the "kingkiller chronicles". And btw if anyone still questions this: the lord of the rings are the best movies out there and the first one is the best;)
