About Me

Hey there! I’m Fabio, 31, an entrepreneur and a curious traveler :)

Curiosity has been the driving force in my life. It’s taken me to live in 5+ countries, working in very different fields and settings -like investment banking at BNP Paribas in Madrid, or corporate life at Heineken in Amsterdam. Eventually, this path led me back to Brazil, where I co-founded a fintech startup focused on the future of payments on the blockchain. My co-founders and I are currently in New York, as our investors invited us to spend some time here! We feel extremely lucky and fortunate about that.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about traveling (I’ve been to over 40 countries, with favorites like Indonesia, Thailand, and Peru), hiking (the Huaraz region in Peru, the Swiss Alps, and trails in Brazil were unforgettable), cycling (in Mallorca, Azores islands), and kitesurfing (Essaouira, Rio de Janeiro and Jeri/Prea in Brazil).

If we ever meet up, I’d love to explore the city together - whether that’s going for a hike, a bike ride, or discovering local hidden gems!

I’m also a big fan of cooking and especially brewing coffee. If you share that passion, I’d be more than happy to cook a meal together or go coffee-hopping through the best cafés in town! :)

Last but not least, I am organized, clean and do not smoke - and drink some beers or wine occasionally!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoy helping people reach their goals, learning from others, and sharing new ideas - probably one of the main reasons I love Couchsurfing!

For me, traveling is all about meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. Staying with locals is the easiest way to truly connect, get a taste of everyday life, and create those small but meaningful moments of exchange. Those experiences have always nurtured me, and when both sides are open to sharing and learning, it feels energizing.

It’s been about 10 years since I last used Couchsurfing, but I still remember the amazing experiences I had back then. I’m excited to see what new adventures come my way this time - and hopefully we can create some great memories together!

Interests

I am an active and outdoors person! Anything on hiking, cycling, playing tennis, padel or whatever, I am in! hahaha

Also keen to explore cultural events, museums or concerts together :)
