Overview
About Me
I am Fabio, 28, from Catania (Sicily). At the age of 22 I moved out for study reasons. I lived and studied in Germany for a couple of years, then in Greece for some months. I then moved back to Sicily, working as a tourist guide at the volcano Etna. Then I lived in Turin for a year and now I'm based in Milan where I work as a geologist. I'm a calm but funny person, who really loves to hang out with friends, chilling out and laughing in front of a glass of wine. Nice food is one of the greatest pleasures in life. Then, being a geologist, I also love the nature aspect of wherever I go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea of getting to a new place and being guided, or given suggestions by who lives there. A place is made by its own people in the end, then what's better than to be given ideas or shown around by them? It allows you to have a much more intense traveling experience, plus you might make some good friends for the rest of your life.
Interests
I also make some volunteering in Milan, related to culture and art: I volunteer as a guide in some art site of the city. I also record audio books for blind people, and sometimes I read in a hospital.
I discovered lindy hop and swing dances a while ago, and I deeply fell in love with it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Rock and classical music on top of the list. I love Beethoven, then U2, Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, etc...
Movies...well, almost anything made by Kubrick and by Spielberg, then some classical Italian comedy movie.
Books... I love Ken Follet, Stephen King, Dumas, and others... speaking about italians, some of the classicals, like Pirandello
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being part of a berber wedding party in Morocco...
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some lindy hop, some italian, speak and confront about music, some of the incredibly rich history of my land, Sicily... I would like to learn anything I can get actually. I can share my passion for doing things and for experiencing things in life (quite generic sentence, but it's true).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some typical italian dishes handmade by me! I'm not that bad atthe cooking table...
