About Me
ABOUT ME
I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil and I work as an English Professor at a college. I like big cities, but also love the contact with nature. I used to have a house on the beach, which was like a small ranch, right in the Atlantic Forest.
I love cultural life, particularly cinema. Photography is my hobby, and I have thousands and thousands of pictures.
I also like to meet new people, so anyone who comes to SP or anywhere in Brazil can get in touch. I will be happy to help or give hints.
And I love to travel! A lot! I have seen a lot of the world and of Brazil! I´ve been to some other countries in South America, to Central and North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. I always in hostels or with couchsurfers. Couchesurfers are always welcome to chat here or come to my place in São Paulo.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people, either people who are visiting Sao Paulo or people who could host me in other cities/countries.
I like to share experiences - and my house for guests.
When I have guests, if I have the time I like to show them around or even go out for dinner / lunch / beer.
Interests
I love traveling, going to the movies and to the beach. I like to talk with intelligent people, who are aware of modern life , actual matters, culture and enjoy life.
As I mentioned, I love movies and I see films pratically every week. São Paulo is a great city for movies lovers: there are Filme Festivals all year long (Documentary Festival, Short movies Festival, International movie Festival, MixBrazil Festival, among many others) and they are all free.
I am also interested in nature and beaches. I used to have a house in a very nice beach near São Paulo. It is a very special place, close to the Atlantic Rain Forest. I have many friends there, so I keep going, even without a house there.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am very ecletical. I like good music - all good Brazilian singers - Gilberto Gil, Anitta, Chico Buarque, Zeca Baleiro, and all the other good ones. I like American music too, though I can never remember names. I also like reading, books of Yuval Noah Harari. I love books about historical events or history, in general. An example I could give is a Brazilian author named Eduardo Bueno, who writes nice books about Brazilian history in a very special perspective.
A am a Linguist, so I am also interested in languages and in language teaching - that is my profession: teaching English as a foreign language.
I travel monly 2 days a week, so I have a lot of free time - to travel, to go to the movies, read, etc, etc, etc ;-)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I went to Africa I saw a friend who I hadn't seen for 25 years.
In the same trip, I unexpectedly got really (and dangerously) lose to a wild elephant.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am an English teacher, so I can have contact with different people. I can also share experiences about my trips, or give hints about places I really love.
Learning, teaching and sharing could be three key words for my professional life style, actually.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my house, give hints about my ( very exciting) city, show around the city. I know many places and sites in São Paulo and in the Sao Paulo State coast. I love to show these places to people who come here.
I could also contribute with hints about many places all over Brazil.
If you are interested in cultural life, São Paulo is the best place in the world, I can give you lots of hints.
