ABOUT ME
🇬🇧Born in 1976, happily coupled, I was born in Turin but I've been living in Milan since end 2013. I'm a smart funny guy, open-minded, curious, I like taking care of people. I travel a lot and like meeting new cultures and learning new languages.
🇮🇹Classe 76, felicemente fidanzato, sono nato a Torino ma dalla fine del 2013 vivo a Milano. Sono un tipo sveglio e divertente, open-minded, curioso, mi piace prendermi cura delle persone. Viaggio molto e mi piace incontrare nuove culture ed imparare nuove lingue.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

🇬🇧Couchsurfing has a social meaning to me: I do believe it'll help us make the world more human. It'll help us re-sow the seeds of trust in mankind, of kindness, generosity, sharing and solidarity. I'm honoured and proud to be a couchsurfer. To me, hosting a person means taking care of him/her, make him/her feel home although they're in another country. NOTE: I only host people with a complete profile, at least one picture and name+surname.
🇮🇹Couchsurfing ha un significato sociale per me: credo davvero che ci aiuterà a rendere il mondo più umano. Ci aiuterà a riseminare il seme della fiducia nel genere umano, della gentilezza, della generosità, della condivisione e della solidarietà. Sono onorato e orgoglioso di essere un couchsurfer. Per me, ospitare una persona significa prendermi cura di lei, farla sentire a casa anche se si trova in un altro paese. Interests

🇬🇧My first passion is cooking: it's the way I express myself, relax, connect with people. Then I love travelling, going to cinema, theatre, exhibitions, concerts. I like languages, I'm currently studying German and Portuguese and I teach Italian to foreign immigrants in Milan as a volunteer. 🇮🇹La mia prima passione è la cucina: è il mio modo di esprimermi, rilassarmi, relazionarmi con le persone. Poi adoro viaggiare, andare al cinema, a teatro, alle mostre, ai concerti. 🇬🇧I listen to almost everything, from A (ABBA) to Z (Zaz). I love going to concerts.
🔹Favourite Italian singers: Tiziano Ferro and Cesare Cremonini, undoubtedly (according to me) the two geniuses of current Italian music.
🇮🇹Ascolto praticamente di tutto, dalla A (Bianca Atzei) alla Z (Nina Zilli). Adoro andare ai concerti.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

🇬🇧During summer 2015 I walked through Italy in a 430 km C2C ("coast to coast" or "sea to sea") for 17 days, from Ancona (Marche) to Orbetello (Tuscany), without smartphone, nor watch, nor camera, nor compass or GPS, nor hotel reservations. Just a paper guide, my backpack and my legs. It was an intimate and challenging adventure.
🇮🇹Nell'estate 2015 ho attraversato l'Italia a piedi in un coast to coast di 430 km durato 17 giorni, da Ancona (Marche) a Orbetello (Toscana), senza telefono, né orologio, né macchina fotografica, né bussola o GPS, né prenotazioni alberghiere. Solo una guida cartacea, il mio zaino e le mie gambe. È stata un'avventura intima e sfidante.

Teach, Learn, Share

🇬🇧I teach Italian to foreigners as a volunteer in a school of Milan. I like meeting people who want to improve the knowledge of my mother tongue.
When it comes to learning, I'm interested in languages, of course (I'm currently grappled with German and Portuguese), and ethnic cooking, so if you come to my place bringing the recipes of the typical dishes of your country, you'll make me as happy as a child on Christmas Eve.
🇮🇹Insegno italiano agli stranieri come volontario in una scuola di Milano. Mi piace incontrare persone che vogliano migliorare la conoscenza della mia lingua madre. Per quanto riguarda le cose da imparare, mi interessano le lingue, ovviamente (in questo momento sono alle prese con il tedesco e il portoghese), e la cucina etnica, quindi se venite da me portando le ricette dei piatti tipici del vostro paese, mi farete felice come un bambino la vigilia di Natale.
