About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Follow my heart :)

ABOUT ME

My freedom came in February 2009 when I went through AIESEC to live in Nairobi, Kenya. I knew from the start that my journey was not at all common, and that somehow it wouldn't be short. As expected, the year I spent in East Africa was life changing and one of the best of my life.

In 2010, I left 40 degrees of the African summer to -52 degrees of the Kazakh winter. I was behind the extremes. I was behind the unique and the unknown. I wanted distance from the 'normal'. I spent six months in Central Asia until my money ran out and then returned to Brazil for the first time.

I tried to adapt to a normal life, but after 7 months I was again on a plane with my backpack: I was going to live in Singapore. The year 2011 in the rich Asian nation assured me a freedom never experienced before. On February 1, 2012 I began a journey without a plan, but focused in South Asia that would last for 15 months. I returned to Brazil in mid 2013, worked a bit to save some cash and in January 2014 I started traveling again.

I've hitchhiked trough South America in the first semester and watched the Wold Cup in Brasil.

I was 22 when I went to Africa. Today, after 6 years, I did't spend more than 12 months in one location. I adopted a nomadic lifestyle without worrying about possession or things, but focused on experiences and learning. Travelling is a lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS has been on of my favorite travel platforms for years. More than a couch, it's a real social experience. I met many amazing people and travelers. I helped as many as I could and so many csers helped me.

I made so many friends on weekly meetings and some of the CS parties! Had just too many amazing hosts in Asia and Europe! Thanks a lot to everybody that helped me!
