ABOUT ME

Easy going, positive, sometimes a bit shy, active, I really love nature and like outdoor stuff: views, kayaking, hiking, climbing, surfing, etc etc.
Not into drama or complications.

For decades I have been involved with outdoor activities and experiential education - both personally and professionally.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting when I am at home and surfing when traveling.

I am mostly interested in doing CS as a way to see places with people who live there, to meet people and learn about their lifestyles. And to receiving people and provide a user friendly place for them where we live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted some and Surfed some - in Europe some awesome highlights of my journey was meeting locals, sharing and seeing the place through their eyes/lives.

Why I think CS is cool: global community and exchange/get a glimpse of how real life is at the places visited.

Watched sunsets in peace.
Camped with bears, paddled with orcas and surfed with dolphins.
The Northern Lights, sailing the blue of the Pacific Ocean at 5000mts deep in the tropics, paddled the majority of the coast of southern Patagonia, climbing in Yosemite Valley...

I really like learning about how people live in the places I go. I am curious to learn about mostly anything.
And can share about the good things of my area, stories about incredible natural places.

Good tips about what to do in the area; a bicycle; chats over coffee, a meal, a beer or wine

Short stays are more likely to be accepted, as they suit our non-routine schedule much better.
