About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Not only dreaming about the real life... just making it a real dream.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Italy, my childhood and teenage have been spent trying to discover my country and to get acquainted with the invisible barricade between the North and the South. Usually foreigners are not aware of this, being it so localized, but thanks to the happy duality in my family I got used to switch between the two "ethnic groups" since the very beginning. Thanks this I grew up aware of different mentalities, tastes, lifestyles, cooking, timing...
It helped a lot when I started moving abroad for travelling: in campus and families as a teenager, in flats and villages later. Thanks to my parents I also got the great opportunity for visiting the entire Europe by camper, in order to feel at ease with sharing of culture and knowledge.
It improved -little by little- several passions, like heart for sports (swimming, running and nonprofessional climbing), cinema, art, cooking...
At the moment I could do it, after some stone steps reached, I quit my homecountry going for working abroad: in particular in some challenging countries, not too far away (like Moldova) but perfect for growing up spiritually and intellectually.
That's how I discovered so many friends in international organizations, volunteers, daring students, simply people moving in the quest of life.

PHILOSOPHY

What I can tell about me it's very simple: I feel almost always at east with myself, whatever was the situation, trying to cope with daily troubles without giving up.
I'm simply well aware of the smile we should always find on our mouth, at awaking every morning: life is crazy, but a great gift too.
It doesn't mean to behave like a dumb Candide: to keep the smile, others must be comprehended and supported, just avoiding cheating (in both directions).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment, I m in a moving-phase of life, due to important changes concerning my professional activity. So, to participate in the CS Project, my support could be hosting -during holidays- friends to the mountain or to the sea (north of Italy, or Sicily). A next day I will build the opportunity for daily hosting at my own place, wherever it is...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In my lifetime, couchsurfing experiences have been several ones: since my teenage, I got used to be hosted at families (England, France, Moldova, Ukraine, Greece, Italy) and, later, to host friends of several nationalities at my place.
There are no experiences I enjoyed most: all of them have been great, and it's always a pleasure to share ideas and culture specially when extremely different!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teenage:

Night Parcour in Canterbury, climbing the city walls and the scaffolding covering the Cathedral.
Then climbing again some roofs to go [four guys] sitting around a metal table, lightened in the night.
It's an advertising sign on the top of a furniture corporation building: we have been the Knights of the Square Table.

Youth:

Floating naked in a volcanic lake made of sweet warm water, in the deep silent night, together with my best friend: under all the big marvellous stars of Pantelleria island's sky (Aeolian Island: near the African coast).

Countries I’ve Visited

Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy, Moldova
