ABOUT ME

We first met at work. We became friends and then a bit more(you know the story). We both quit our job and are travelling around the world for 7 months to explore, come up with new ideas, see and experience culture and have fun instead of working till we are 65. We are both pretty easy going but have direction. We will try almost anything new and love talking to new people.

Fabian was born in Switzerland and can speak german. He enjoys Photography and skiing. He has now learnt how to make a mean Thai curry.

Mel was born in Adelaide and grew up near the sea. She plays sport including Netball (Australian game) and touch football, she is also a singer.

Fabian: Be happy. Don't fuss over small insignificant issues, you won't remember them in 5 years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We love couch surfing, we have had the best time so far with fellow couch surfers and the best part is learning local culture without the touristy bias.

Melanie: I have been singing since I was a little girl, and trained while at at high school, I know I wont make it but it is fun to perform,(even in my shower). I intend to do further training one day! I enjoy singing musical theatre, classically and singing along to pop songs in the car.

I also like to be active and enjoy playing team sports when at home in Australia including Basketball, Netball (weird Australian game) and touch football.

Fabian: Enjoys relaxing and not taking life too seriously. Enjoys finance news and travelling. He analyses adverts too much. Hopes to retire young.
