About Me
Hello ;)
I 'm a Brazilian/ Portuguese musician currently living in Brussels. I moved from my hometown (Rio de Janeiro) to Europe four years ago to take my Masters in Political Science in Lisbon, and I have lived in different places since then (Lisbon, Coimbra, Madrid, Paris). Now I'm in Belgium to work for the Médécins sans Frontières and hopefully will stay here for the next 6 months - or more, no one knows! haha ;)
I am also a musician and have been playng the guitar for more than 15 years. With regard to music style, I do enjoy playing a bit of almost everything: Brazilian music (samba, bossa nova, etc), classical guitar, pop, jazz, psychedelic rock, etc. :-)
I am also passionate towards languages. Since my teenage years I've worked both as an English and Spanish teacher. To tell the truth, this has been of the most enriching things i've done (not in finantial terms, sadly! :/ ). Teaching has a great value for me and I will keep doing it as long as possible.
Last, I consider myself a politically engaged person. It means that I see no point in living detached from our social environment, ignoring the implications of our acts and choices on other people. In other words, being indifferent to racism, sexism and xenophopia is not a choice, unless you agree with it (but in that case, don't even mind sending me a request).
To sum it up, I'm an easy going person who loves sharing experiences and meeting new people. If you think the same, then maybe we could help each other in this community ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Basically because I am constantly moving to different places. At the same time, I'm delighted to help other people in the same situation as mine. Whenever I'm back in Lisbon, I'll be pleased to have you stay at my place. :D
