ABOUT ME

I'm a lover of travelling with a fear of travelling. What I mean to say is I have always loved being outdoors, exploring and adventuring - but I'm non-committal, anxious and awful and organising doing anything.

I have spent 20 plus years on this planet falling for adventure stories, heroes, foreign worlds and fantasy countries - and constantly wishing to be as brave as the alternative, bohemian, cool people one meets who have been here, walked there, and hitchhiked back.

BUT I SHALL BE LETHARGIC NO MORE! After developing mild depression and crippling anxiety over the last couple of years it seems I have had enough of dreaming and decided to actually explore this wonderful country and this wonderful world.

Should be fun!

PHILOSOPHY

I shall quote Frank Turner, for he summarises it perfectly:

"Life is about love, last minutes and lost evenings,
about fire in our bellies and furtive little feelings,
and the aching amplitudes that set our needles all a-flickering,
and help us with remembering that the only thing that's left to do is live.
After all the loving and the losing, the heroes and the pioneers,
the only thing that's left to do is get another round in at the bar."

Interests

I am an arts student, and by extension I enjoy art, drawing, painting. I enjoy theatre particularly more alternative Brechtian inspired stuff - less organised and more improv! I "play" guitar at a vaguely competently level, but mainly for my own enjoyment.

I enjoy games, films, usually around fantasy and fiction - I dislike cringe and embarrassment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Shooting stars. Mundane perhaps, but the memories of that night out in the Peak District will be with me forever.
