About Me

Hey yo!
I am Facu, 24 years old student from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I have been a backpacker thru Latin America during the last summers, also a teacher assitant at University, and I am building up a press media for music bands and gigs. I'm a bikes and cats lover.

"mix of happiness, fun and respect" like someone once described me (it's on my personal references ;)

After studying in The Nehterlands during the semester, I travelled to discover Europe for the first time, on my own!

People that have come to know me this last semester living in a foreign country have described me as a totally crazy music lover, always full of energy and incredibly open minded. Well that is pretty much who I am :)

I have already met AMAZING people via CS and I want to continue on this path.

My philosophy:
"As long as what you are doing isn't bothering someone else (or the planet), it is ok"

My motto (stolen from RHCP) is:
"MUSIC, THE GREAT COMMUNICATOR"

I think we all need to sign in for a better world, and that is up to us. At first I felt exhausted only to think about it, but we just need to be kind and set an example. Do not disturb others, don't give violance a chance, be clean and respect the nature. If everyone in the globe were able to follow those simples ideas, we will be in the right path and good things would start happening.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think CS is one of the best ways to meet nice people all around the world.
People willing to share their lives with you
I also always prefer to stay with locals. It is much more thrilling to surf on the web looking for coolest hosts instead of reading descriptions of the hostels haha.

I love to meet people, like I am totally into sharing experiences and different realities.

Interests

I am always looking for under the radar music bands (bandas under o emergentes, decimos en Buenos Aires), always attending gigs or music festivals. (live) Music is my life.

I am eager to learn about everything, so it is really difficult that we couldn't find something to do or talk about ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alt J, The Strokes, Manu Chao, Franz Ferdinand, El Kuelgue and a lot lot lot lot lot more, we could spend hours talking about this, I love music, a lot, it is one of the greatest things in my life. I also like to read, but since I study a lot, I don't have that much time to read novels or philosophy, at least it has been like that for the past several years.. I like Keynes school when taking about Economics, but I have plenty to learn from him and the others as well. I loved Stieg Larsson's Millenium trilogy, and classics like Brave New World, by Huxley, or Animal Farm by Orwell

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Meeting crazy people thru CS and doing stuff that weren't on the plan!

Like playing with the accoustic under a bridge in Munich the whole night, with Peter (host) and Mike (now GREAT friend, first just a random guy that texted me to meet up when he saw my public trip going to Munich)

Or staying with Lila in Leeds, England, just to find her again in Barcelona almost by chance because she had just moved and she hosted me again and we went to a bar to try to find Manu Chao!

Also:
Taking 3 blabla cars to get to a twenty one pilots gig, riding my penny board all over europe or biking half of Paris at 3 am alone without internet trying to find my hostel

Inka Trail, (4 days walking thru montains until reaching Machu Picchu).

First time I saw RHCP live.

Diving with sharks! At Galapagos islands! :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you about Argentinian culture, maybe some basic juggling.
Share everything! A song, a meal, a bike ride.
I will love to learn from your culture, your way of connecting with people

Travelling is a way of learning itself.

I AM SO EAGER TO LEARN LANGUAGES. I do want you to correct my speaking and spelling, and my pronunciation (YES, SPECIALLY IN ENGLISH), is the only way I will learn! I don't mind being wrong or making a mistake, so don't hesitate to show it to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well of course the first thing you can expect from me is a loyal friendship. We can share some cookies. A song :) Couple of crazy pictures!
