About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm able to laugh about myself and try to take everything with a pinch of salt. I consider myself reflective, unpretentious, authentic, and casual. I'm enthusiastic and idealistic. Although I'd consider myself introvert, some guys say I'm extrovert. I sometimes find myself closed-minded and capricious, but I give my best to reconsider my thoughts.
I'm eager to make a difference. Right now, I do my PhD in neurosciences and find it very motivating to contribute to this exciting field of basic medical research and the development of future healthcare technology. I now guess, that's my physicist's (limited) way of doing good..
Besides, I work for a non-profit education startup that's trying to revolutionize the career counselling at German-speaking schools. The totally ambitious collaboration with these intelligent guys actually distracts me from becoming a lunatic science nerd ;-)
Finally, I decided to stay some more years in Thuringia because I love this part of Germany very much for its great outdoors, short distances, and (some) interesting people.
In my free time I like to have a good time visiting friends, hiking, reading, brewing and drinking espresso, doing sports (mainly cycling, fell running) rather than watching other guys doing it on tv, playing cue sports or foosball, or going to any type of concert, cinema or theater.
I prize meaningful relationships very much but get along with almost everyone and am always ready for a good chat or some adventure. I'm passionate about opinions, thinking, problem solving, and pretty much anything that sets people apart from each other. However, I typically don't like small talk very much - probably because I'm not really good in it (but I'm making some efforts ;-).
I like crazy ideas but hanging around with friends, barbecuing, and having a beer is also nice.
PHILOSOPHY
Thinking in the service of feeling.
