Walk Across America

ABOUT ME

On January third I drove to San Diego in California to walk away from the Pacific Ocean. My goal is to walk all the way to the east coast. I've tried this twice before and didn't make it. I plan to make it across this time. Currently I am in Arizona.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My girlfriend has used couch surfing allot. She has hosted several people. She joined me for a week and a half while I walked through Arizona. In that time we stayed with two couch surfers and had a great time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had many experiences not related to the couch surfing website. In college it's common to have people who can't find or afford housing crash on your couch for a bit. I've hosted people and been in a few circumstances where I needed a couch as well.

Interests

See as much as I can while I can. I hope to write for a living someday. Even if that means I have to be a lowly hack for some small town newspaper.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll read most books. I enjoy Steinbeck immensely. I like his documentary approach to writing. I also like Hemingway--"Old man and the Sea" in particular. I read a great book in Ecuador titled "The adventures of Cavalier and Clay."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built a house out of paper. It is the vacation home for a Northern California home designer.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't litter. As I walk along the side of the road I see all types of trash. Why ruin this beautiful world. keep it in the car until you can recycle it.
