Overview
About Me
Hi it's Fain from Hong Kong. I speak Cantonese, English and Putonghua, but I believe language is never a barrier when it comes to travelling. When I go to places where I do not share a common language with the people, I use body language and my unique drawing (well, not bad drawing lol), and more importantly, a smile. I'm an open-minded person. Listen to people and don't judge easily. Respect all kinds of cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I go to a new place, I wanna explore the place like a local. Apart from the touristic places, I also like to see the markets, supermarkets, parks, etc. What can be better than making friends with people who live in that place?
I'm not just trying to find a host, but also a new friend from another city. Great if we can hang out together and try out some good food (or even cook some)! Not sure what I can share but if you'd like to know more about Hong Kong, just ask!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Had my very first couchsurfing experience in Taiwan back in 2015. It was a great experience and the hosts and we became friends afterwards. (a pity that I forgot the login details of my previous couchsurfing account and this is my new account lol)
Teach, Learn, Share
Learn: every time I go to a new place, I learn to say "hello" and "thank you" in that language in advance. Great if I can learn a bit more common phrases of the language!
I'm also interested in knowing more about one's culture. You can share anything you want to and I'm happy to know and I value good conversations!
