ABOUT ME
There's a good bit spread out all over this page. Other things you should know; I'm a Christian and model my life around my relationship with Christ. I'm not going to preach to you or demand any behavior you're not inclined to do on your own, but it does affect a great deal of my daily habits. I'm constantly writing. If you stay with me, you'll probably end up somewhere in one of my short stories. I have a Wrangler and love to get it dirty.
PHILOSOPHY
I do all that I do as though I am doing it for the Lord.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to travel but never have the time or money. In the mean time I can host those looking for a place to rest their heads. If you're traveling in the Carolina's, you might not find a lot to do in Clinton, but it's a great place to come rest your head in between travels.
Interests
writing anything from book reviews to short stories and poetry, listening to musc, football (go gamecocks), I love to cook and eat food is great stuff

Music, Movies, and Books
Fight Club (the movie, book is on the to read list), Thomas Hardy's poetry, Fitzgerald's short stories, Oscar Wild's plays (I LOVE The Importance of Being Earnest), anything directed by Jason Reitman, The Beatles, Julia Nunes, The Avett Brothers, Mumford and Sons, Eminem, Kanye West (face it, he's talented), The Princess Bride, Vampire Weekend, Birds of a Lesser Paradise by Megan Mayhew Bergman, The New Mind of the South by Tracy Thompson, Their Eyes Were Watching God.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a month in Rwanda filming a documentary of orphans of the 1994 genocide. It was humbling living among people who had so little and yet had more joy in life than I've probably ever known. I went with four HS classmates, one of whom is a Rwandan citizen (it was his idea to go). Right now we're editing the documentary. It's working title is let them live. I'd love to share more about this to anyone who's interested.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little about videography. I'm an English major and Southern Studies minor so I love to talk about literature and history, especially with regard to the South. I know most Adobe Creative Suite programs. My father and I have built a hydroponic garden in a 100X18ft greenhouse, and he now runs a small farm with a church in Blythewood, SC, so if you want to talk about hydroponic gardening I know a little about that.
