About Me

| COSMOPOLITE | TRAVEL ENTHUSIAST | ADVENTURER | WANNABE PHOTOGRAPHER |

BACKGROUND

Long story short: I'm an Afghan who grew up in Germany and who was working/living in the Philippines/Netherlands/HongKong/California and is now studying in London. I would call myself a third-culture-kid - that's why im open and extremely tolerant towards all nationalities, cultures, religions, genders, sexual orientations, etc.

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling the world. Meeting new people. New perspectives.
Wherever you go, there will always be someone who you can learn from.
Seeing the world through others eyes makes you see yourself in a clearer way.

PHILOSOPHY

Nothing is for free - life is all about giving and taking. I'm nice and kind to everyone, but If I know you wouldn't do the same for me or don't show any gratitude, get lost!

"Kindness is the only language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see."
- Mark Twain

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Exploring places, meeting people, their culture and lifestyle is something I really want to experience in every travel I make. With Couchsurfing, I'll get to know fun people and their stories thus avoid being trapped in the limited perspective of an ordinary tourist.
Staying in a hotel is just like carrying your comfort zone wherever you go. That's not how one should travel. I want to make the most out of every travel.

Interests

Travelling the world (obviously) - especially unusual/scary places such as Chernobyl or North Korea I will definitely go to someday.
I like chill people to share stories with and have a great time - and I hate people who talk way too much and don't even notice that you're not interested anymore.
Always in for adventures, unusual stuff, leaving my comfort zone and good food (especially Japanese). I love drama, poetry and books as well.
Slowly learning about photography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left' my comfort zone back in Germany for a 12-month voluntary service in the Philippines! (no regrets)

Travelled through the mountainous and Taliban-controlled regions of Afghanistan in the trunk of a car. Khyber pass included.

Dived with giant sea turtles in clear waters teeming with marine life and corals in the Philippines

Rented a car in Budapest and did a 3500km roadtrip in Southeast Europe, visiting nine countries

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you everything about my culture(s) and their languages - Germany, Afghanistan and even a bit of the Philippines are part of my cultural identity!

Your story, your country, your hometown, your culture, your language - tell me bout' them. I will listen and learn.

Oh, and I'll share with you whatever you're interested in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Fun times and good talks!

Happiness is only real when shared.
