About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find one thing to be grateful for every day.

ABOUT ME

Hi everyone, I'm an Australian girl who grew up in Sydney, but moved to Queensland a few years ago for the warmer weather and laid-back lifestyle. I am pretty quiet and shy but also have an adventurous streak and am almost insatiably curious about everything. (Apologies if the first time I meet you I plug you with questions non-stop, I have a bad habit of doing that.) I have just returned from two years of wwoofing/travelling/working, mostly around the UK but with some other countries thrown in along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

Speak your truth, even if your voice shakes.
Life is a teacher and we are all her students.
The best way to have a friend is to be a friend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Mostly by going to events so far.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed once, it was a great experience.

Interests

Meeting new people, travelling, writing, music, watching movies, playing musical instruments - piano, violin and harmonica, watching stand-up comedy, daydreaming and staring out the window on long bus rides, reading, cooking, alternative forms of living, sustainability, meditation, Buddhism, spirituality, tarot, yoga, crosswords, scrabble, fitness, running, mountain walking/bushwalking, camping, trying new, random and different foods, wandering around museums and getting lost in tales of history. Eating and sleeping. Peering into little rockpools at beaches and poking anemones to make them close. Rollercoasters, sky diving and other thrill-seeking activities although I draw the line at bungee jumping, I'd prefer my retinas to stay attached thanks very much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Russia. They have palaces there that look exactly like something out of Disney movies. Or maybe (probably) it's the other way around.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmm. Special knowledge. Well, i am a bonifide expert with over 20 years of experience in egg scrambling. I also used to be really good at doing cartwheels and forward rolls. Haven't tried in a few years but I reckon I could teach somebody else to well enough. It is a skill that I'm sure will come in handy next time you're attempting to either a. dodge a bullet or b. steal a priceless museum artefact with lots of security laser beams surrounding it.
