Overview
About Me
I was born in Iran but I grew up in France. And I think this is this double culture that makes me curious about the rest of the world.
I'm currently working as a project coordinator for an Indian NGO based in Kolkata, West Bengal.
I lived almost two years in South America. I was first working in Ecuador for 10 months. I had a bunch of friends, a lovely routine and a captivating job. But something happened... and for some reason, I decided it was high time I left this place to start living the way I wanted to.
So I headed to Colombia to meet a friend and reach Venezuela together to work over there. I crossed the whole country alone with my backpack and 50 bucks in my pocket. But I fell in love with Colombia and there started a whole new chapter of my life.
What more can I say? I'm a good listener and observer. I easily can get amazed by things that might seem common to ordinary people. I like to let that inner child of mine express herself and be spellbound by its surroundings.
I can look a bit shy at first, mostly in big gatherings. I'm not the one who talks all the time or makes jokes (unless I feel really comfortable and am surrounded by very old friends). I don't like to be the center of attention. If you want to know me, give me some time, a rooftop, a beer and a cigarette.
I'm crazy about food and cinema. I'm not a good dancer but I love shaking that body whenever I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently living in Kolkata area, in India.
I'd be happy to welcome you out here.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My CS experience in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. The best experience so far. Couchsurfing during the carnaval of Barranquilla is just amazing.
I've had an amazing couchsurfing experience in San Francisco (a breathtaking place by the way) with super friendly people last year. Felt like home!
Interests
I love learning new foreign languages (I'm currently trying to learn Bengali and Hindi).
I love cooking (cause I love food in general, I could spend hours talking about world food and recipes...seriously...), watching movies, listening to music, hanging out with friends, challenging myself and feeling useful. Don't like to waste my time doing stuff that makes no sense to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love books though I'm not reading as much as I used to: Murakami's books are one of my fav at the moment though my "bible" if I may say so is Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi.
Music: well, I don't like a particular kind of music, seriously depends on my mood, could be Swing-Electro//Electro Fusion (Parov Stelar, Moderat, Rone), Alternative Rock, Rap (Old french rap bands like IAM)...and I'm getting more and more familiarized with cumbia, salsa and merengue!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Riding camel next to Persepolis (an amazing site in Iran), roadtripping in Scotland (getting to the Loch Ness made my day), celebrating the Queen's jubilee in London (that was a crazy week), my couchsurfing experience in San Francisco and the whole South American trip.
And a lot more!
