About Me

CURRENT MISSION

1) Embrace my InNeRcHiLd and love it, for some things I don't wanna ever grow up :)

Not loosing a fresh and ingenuous life perspective to look at known things with new eyes. With child eyes.

2) I have to find my place in the world!

I'm inspired by these classics of poetry:

Ulysses - Tennyson
The lights begin to twinkle from the rocks:
The long day wanes: the slow moon climbs: the deep
Moans round with many voices. Come, my friends,
'T is not too late to seek a newer world.
Push off, and sitting well in order smite
The sounding furrows; for my purpose holds
To sail beyond the sunset, and the baths
Of all the western stars, until I die.
It may be that the gulfs will wash us down:
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
And see the great Achilles, whom we knew.
Tho' much is taken, much abides; and tho'
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

***

The Road Not Taken - Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

***

Invictus - Henley
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

.

3) Trying to follow this:

"The more vulnerable you are willing to be, the more universal you become"

"A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them."

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become your character.
And watch your character, for it becomes your destiny."

ABOUT ME

I won´t say some kind of "Well it's pretty hard to describe myself" :P

I'm a special and unique guy... just like everyone else!

I'm a couchsurfer originally from Rosario, Argentina and I like to be on the side of the underdog… the lost cause… and the die hard!

I value my individual freedom and it seems rather hard to find a suitable place for me to settle down. I'm interested in The Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and I also like two other particular cities: Barcelona and Berlin.

I tend to be Agnostic when things goes well and Deist when I'm in troubles :)
About politics, I'm undefined yet. I highly respect voluntaryism/true anarchism (which includes free markets). I sympathize with Left Libertarianism and Agorism. I cannot hide that in my actions few little times I act as a conservative and even more I prefer a good/genuine conservative than a hypocrite radical anarchist, comunist or socialist. Here some of my favorite stuff:

PHILOSOPHY

1) Do all that you say you're going to do.

2) Don't aggress against other people or their property.

3) Every man is free to do that which he wills, provided he infringes not the equal freedom of any other man.

4) If one takes care of the means, the end will take care of itself.

***

"It is only by the exercise of reason that man can discover God."

"Every true genius is bound to be naive"

"Men more frequently require to be reminded than informed."

"People come to believe whatever they must believe when they must believe it"

"There is no free lunch"

"The dignity of mankind is in your hands; protect it! It sinks with you! With you it will ascend."

"Nuestro mundo civilizado no es más que una mascarada donde se encuentran caballeros, curas, soldados, doctores, abogados, sacerdotes, filósofos, pero no son lo que representan, sino solo la mascara, bajo la cual, por regla general, se esconden especuladores de dinero."

"Good sense is, of all things among men, the most equally distributed; for every one thinks himself so abundantly provided with it, that those even who are the most difficult to satisfy in everything else, do not usually desire a larger measure of this quality than they already possess. And in this it is not likely that all are mistaken: the conviction is rather to be held as testifying that the power of judging aright and of distinguishing truth from error, which is properly what is called good sense or reason, is by nature equal in all men; and that the diversity of our opinions, consequently, does not arise from some being endowed with a larger share of reason than others, but solely from this, that we conduct our thoughts along different ways, and do not fix our attention on the same objects. For to be possessed of a vigorous mind is not enough; the prime requisite is rightly to apply it. The greatest minds, as they are capable of the highest excellences, are open likewise to the greatest aberrations; and those who travel very slowly may yet make far greater progress, provided they keep always to the straight road, than those who, while they run, forsake it."

"Vices are simply the errors which a man makes in his search after his own happiness. Unlike crimes, they imply no malice toward others, and no interference with their persons or property."

"The law perverted! And the police powers of the state perverted along with it! The law, I say, not only turned from its proper purpose but made to follow an entirely contrary purpose! The law become the weapon of every kind of greed! Instead of checking crime, the law itself guilty of the evils it is supposed to punish!"

"Through all time, so far as history informs us, wherever mankind have attempted to live in peace with each other, both the natural instincts, and the collective wisdom of the human race, have acknowledged and prescribed, as an indispensable condition, obedience to this one only universal obligation: viz., that each should live honestly towards every other.
The ancient maxim makes the sum of a man’s legal duty to his fellow men to be simply this: “To live honestly, to hurt no one, to give to every one his due.”
This entire maxim is really expressed in the single words, to live honestly; since to live honestly is to hurt no one, and give to every one his due.

Man, no doubt, owes many other moral duties to his fellow men; such as to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, care for the sick, protect the defenceless, assist the weak, and enlighten the ignorant. But these are simply moral duties, of which each man must be his own judge, in each particular case, as to whether, and how, and how far, he can, or will, perform them. But of his legal duty – that is, of his duty to live honestly towards his fellow men – his fellow men not only may judge, but, for their own protection, must judge. And, if need be, they may rightfully compel him to perform it. They may do this, acting singly, or in concert. They may do it on the instant, as the necessity arises, or deliberately and systematically, if they prefer to do so, and the exigency will admit of it"

"Al venir al mundo mi genio me puso esta disyuntiva: conocer la verdad y no gustar a nadie con ella o enseñar a los demas lo falso con aplauso y adhesion" -A. Schopenhauer

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being ON Amsterdam with my awesome friends!
Enjoying Barcelona with an ol' friend from high school.
Making Friendly Belgian Friends!!! Discovering Gent after seen Brugges (waaay better)
Discovering Amersfoort's beauty after seen some other charming small cities in The Netherlands.
Seduced by mysterious and monumental Berlin!
Feeling the coziness of Bern in company of my Swiss friend. And the paradise like views and scenery of Interlaken while having a hot chocolate after riding on sledges!!

Making few but good friends but for real!

Put in practice the theory of true telling.
It is amazing all that you can achieve if you face the first fear and dare to speak what it must be speaked!
Obviously I ain't no saint at all, but it often surprise me how telling the truth often leads you to a better situation. Specially when you start from being honest with yourself :)

Teach, Learn, Share

"Teach"... I ain't no teacher nor I've a license or authority... so the only thing it's left for me is to share :)

I'd tell you about the financial industry... they suck! There are meant to separate fools from their money, once you learn the real lesson they will never caught you again!
It doesn't make any freaking sense terms like "Free Risk Rate", "Black-Scholes", "CAPM", "Diversification", "Free Cash Flow", etc...

I also know about used cars, my family has been in the business for a long time. I can share some tips on how to park your car and how to make precise detailed movements with a vehicle.

I have been working for a multinational laboratory as an analyst of Biodiesel and Soy Oil products for export, so I've had the chance to see with my own eyes what's going on behind the curtains of the quality & control industry.

I want to learn more about places to consider for emigration.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My Skills? Well, I'm highly specialized in... general things! :I like to think I can do things just by trying and learning on my own. Some times it ends up good and other it's a complete disaster! so it's a fair deal if you take it that way.

I'm a slow learner so I enjoy the process specially if it doesn't need to be in a hurry. I'm not the type of efficient hyper kinetic guy that do things fast as I wished to be. For me it comes naturally to slowdown in order to have a sense of what I'm doing. This have proven to be annoying for me most of the times and a good facet a few times.
I'm too curious about everything and I like to ask questions! The good thing is I never get bored. I only need people to talk or a book or internet. The bad thing is I'm easily distracted and I need some inspiration and time to gain a deep focused state of mind.
I'm more the type of sensitive/emphatic guy. When I look for social contact I want to genuinely make others feel they can talk with me about everything as I want to understand their thoughts and feelings because everyone have something that one can learn from or be inspired from. For all this, I guess it will suit me very well to work in the hospitality industry, I've never had the experience doing that kind of work but this last years my job was mostly in sales and I enjoyed the social contact.
The bad side is I sometimes feel I'm not tough enough to face a world that for moments seems to be coming in the wrong direction making people feel alienated from their peers and full of rude and unkind situations that doesn't help at all to an anxious guy like me who is always thinking about what tomorrow will bring.
So yeah, everyone has some down sides, I've mine too and if you want to get bored ask me and I'll elaborate even further on the subject :) CheerS!
