About Me

CURRENT MISSION

...I DO WHAT I WANT

ABOUT ME

Crazy, passionate, whimsical, I dunno. I love so many things. I am very passionate about music and dancing. I also love to learn about pretty much everything. I study math in college and I'm doing research in neuroscience. I want to get a dual degree in neuroscience and veterinary medicine (too much? probably). I love traveling and learning new languages, but most of all I really love food. It's definitely one of my top 5 favourite things about traveling. I don't sing into my hairbrush, but I do sing into my phone. Sometimes I pretend to be foreign when I buy things in grocery stores, although I don't have to pretend in Germany so it's not as fun.
Weird fact: I am never sure how to spell the word weird or exercise (I just tried to spell it 10 different ways), but I swear I'm not an idiot.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to the fullest. Or at least I try. I can be a bit timid and maybe I'm not as adventurous as some people, but I love my life. I believe in enjoying everything, living life for the experience. I am very passionate about the things I love to do and the people in my life. I believe in dancing anywhere and everywhere. I believe in respect. I believe in always getting places on time thanks to my dad who always arrives 20 minutes early everywhere. I believe in the comic Calvin and Hobbes and especially admire the snowmen.
I don't believe in umbrellas. I will wear a raincoat and rain boots, but umbrellas make it difficult to appreciate the rain...and I hate carrying them and I'm short so it would be awkward if I tried to share it. They also suck when it's windy.

Interests

Dancing (of all sorts, especially belly dancing)
Music (I play the Piano and love every genre of music)
Cooking (especially desserts. I actually have a cookbook addiction.)
Reading
Sewing
Wearing crazy socks (I mean, who doesn't? Only boring people)
Skiing (I live for skiing. I'm actually on the ski patrol so I save you when you fall down. I also love skiing in the rain. Weird, right?)
Camping
Chocolate (It's just delicious)

Music, Movies, and Books

I give up on the Music because I love too much of it in every genre. My favourite band at the moment is the Maccabees.
Movies: Amelie, Pride and Prejudice, Zoolander, Pirate Radio, Rocky Horror Picture Show (yes I've seen it in theaters), Marie Antoinette, About a Boy, Everything is Illuminated...I'm sure there are more. Also, I'm that person that always cries during sad movies, but it's ok if you laugh at me.
Books:(again too many, but I'll give it a go) David Copperfield, Phantom Tollbooth, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (the whole series), anything by Terry Pratchett (he's amazing), Anna Karenina, Sybil, Lolita, The Shadow of the Wind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to ride a horse while it swam across a river. Actually one of the coolest things I've ever done.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people to Belly Dance! I've been taking classes at school for around 2 years. I'm not crazy advanced or anything but I love dancing with people. Chris and I can also both go on and on about pure math (sorry to those who hate math. It's actually super awesome I swear!). I've been taking Piano for 9 years so I guess I could teach someone something if they wanted. Also, Spanish. I love Spanish. I guess I could cook with people, but I'm a pretty messy cook, although it all gets cleaned in the end.
I also recently learned exactly what the theory of relativity is and it completely changed my view on the world and I will happily rant about it in a very confusing manner.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, United Kingdom
