ABOUT ME

I was born in Valdivia, Chile, but my mom and I soon moved to Castro in the Island of Chiloé, where I grew up. I was lucky to study almost all my school time in Cahuala School, a place were the truth and dialogue are more important than anything else. My Family-tree is sort of complicated; I am the only child of my mom first marriage, but I have seven younger half-siblings (six females and one baby boy).I am Psychologist, but after my clinical internship I turned to Cognitive Sciences; I did a M.Sc. in Clinical Linguistics, a Ph.D. in Experimental Psycholinguistics, and I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher.

I had to travel all the way from Valdivia to Berlin to meet the love of my life, Johana, who is actually chilean as well and grew up in the same region that I did. We spend our time together planning our life together...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't no much yet, since I just joined. I hope I can fulfil this better later on. (Summer 2010)

I left the first statement just for the record. Couch surfing is freaking AWESOME!! I had the greatests experiences in India, Budapest and Praga and I also hosted once (Bielefeld is not that popular). It is the best it will open your mind, your heart, your hands your pockets and maybe some other things!!! DO IT!

I am interested in many different things, and I am always open to get interested in new ones... which sometimes is a bit too much... if you know what I mean.
If I have to put this in a few words, I will say I am interested in three main topics:
Society, Psycholinguistics, and Environment.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am not a great book reader. I like movies though, the kind of those from David Lynch and Stanley Kubrick. I like many many (but any) kinds of music. I enjoy rock, reggae, doom metal, progressive metal, ethnic music, hip hop and R&B, and others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am not sure if I have witnessed any tremendously wonderful event that I could describe, however, I think I am still able to be amaze by everyday ephemeral moments, like when a couple look at each other and you can see sparks of love, or when wobbly walking child approach her mother smiling. Actually I think smiles are something that amaze me everyday...

Teach, Learn, Share

Not so great, but I can teach about psycholinguistics experimental design. I love to learn new languages. I like to share tolerance and kindness.
