About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have started traveling quite late in my life and would like to catch up. It's my mission to visit every part of the world, currently it is my dream to learn Spanish and move to Barcelona.

ABOUT ME

I am a Chef so I enjoy everything food related. I love eating in good restaurant but also cook and create with other people. I enjoy getting to know new cuisine and cultures. I love meeting new people and exploring the world.

PHILOSOPHY

“Everything you want is just outside your comfort zone.”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am not able to host at the moment, but I try to help out as much as possible for people traveling across my country and New Zealand.
I am happy to meet up with you, chat and show your around. I also try to spread the word about my little country Slovenia and all it has to offer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am quite new to couchsurfing, my only experience so far was in New Zealand and Japan and I have been really lucky with the hosts. However because I am new and don't have many references I think it is harder to find people that would be willing to host.

Interests

Working as a Chef does not leave me much time for anything else. However, I do enjoy riding my motorbike, spending time with my pets, hanging out with my friends and long discussions that can be either meaningful or completely pointless, over a good beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have read so many books in my life it would be hard to remember all of them. I've recently read Room, which I highly recommend. Also Us, children from the Zoo station.

I listen to music that matches my mood, mostly that would be Indie Alternative rock vibes, but I have caved to House, Pop, Metal, Reagge, etc. If the song is good, I don't care about the genre.

I have watched many movies, but I still prefer watching series over movies, it's more practical because of my schedule and it lets me create a deeper bond with whatever I'm watching, over a longer period of time.

Some of my favorites would include Suits, White collar, TBBT, Bones, HIMYM, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Figured out the Tokyo subway system.
Quit my job to travel.
Adopted rats and named them Diego Montoya and Dante the Grey.
Visited the Notre Damme and The Sagrada Familia.
Been on top of the Eiffel tower and had dinner in their restaurant.
Travelled across New Zealand.
Travelled across Europe.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer you good company, I am respectful towards people's homes, I will help you keep it clean and cook anytime of the day. I will have long discussions with you over your preferred beverage. I will take care of your animals and take your dog for a walk. I will take care of you if you ever visit the country I live in (currently New Zealand). And most importantly, we can create a lifetime bond. :)
