About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To eat my weight in Kettle Chips. They're delicious. No! I can quit anytime I want!

ABOUT ME

I like watching anime, reading manga and playing videogames. My smartphonr is an essential part of my everyday life, not because I text or call my friends nonstop but because I love music and also use my phone to read blogs and news sites on-the-go.

I'm kind of a geek. I love videogames (mainly JRPGs, fighting games and rhythm and music games), I love Japanese culture (mainly anime and manga) and, am perhaps, too attached my computer and the Internet. I can be awkward and shy among people I don't know (I hate going to clubs because of this), but if I'm among friends or at least acquaintances of people with a shared interest, I'm usually the life of the party.

I love food. The only reason I'm good at cooking and baking is because I love eating. It's a good thing I don't smoke or drink (I can afford more snacks that way).

PHILOSOPHY

"It is not enough for me to win. My enemies must lose." - David Merrick
"If at first you don't suceed, cheat." - Buffy (the Vampire Slayer)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I survived a new an deadly string of influenza as a child (I think I was 8 or 9). It was mostly only deadly for the elderly, but I'd like to imagine myself as a medical wonder.

As a child, I had 3 front baby teeth. Behind those teeth were 2 front teeth, behind those were another 2, behind those were another 2 and behind those was 1 last tooth in the middle. At 8, my dentist had to pull all of the extra sets of teeth out except the last one. That one eventually started growing inward, towards my nose, so they had to surgically remove it.

A few years ago I was possibly minutes away from dying from blood loss due to an acute ulcer. They had to fly me by private plane from Vietnam (where I was visiting at the time) to Bangkok flr specialized treatment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was born in Vietnam, have lived in Sweden for most of my life and have been studying English since the age of 3. As a trilingual Vietnamese-Swede, I'm a virtual goldmine of cultural exchange... or well, a passable font of knowledge at least.

I've also been told I'm a great cook. We could swap recipes and whip up some multi-culti meals together. And my blueberry pie was once accused of being store-bought. In my mind, that's a compliment.
