Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host(ed) couchsurfers, but not anymore (became a father and a good husband, with little spare space or time to share outside my realm).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did some couchsurfng in San Francisco, hosted a few people from all over the world. Had only positive experiences so far. Moved to Dominica in August 2008, and kept my membership. Dominica is the Nature Island of the Caribbean and is far from being a cheesy resort with crowded white sand beaches.
2015, was living in Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India, hosted a couple of folks here, too.
Moved to Australia 2015, my host is a hard core couch-surfer and an interesting person, Marion. Our birthdays are on the same day. Ended up staying with my family at her house for 4 months while looking for a job.

I'm interested in people who are comfortable in their own skin and happy to share their life experiences.
I like to try new things, like baked termites, or riding a seahorse.
Lately I have developed this strange interest in French culture.
I'm learning to play guitar.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Don't turn your travel into a "to-do" list, pace yourself, take your time to enjoy your destinations and getting there, too. It's the company of people you meet and things there for you to experience along the way; otherwise you might just end up with a bunch of pictures but no memories. But maybe pictures are all you are after.
