I'm not sure if I've ever put a personal philosophy in any kind of precise statement before. But I believe in being nice to other people. I believe in learning as much as you can from as many people as you can. And I believe in sharing.

So far, I've just hosted. But I want to start surfing as soon as I'm able.

Interests

I think I covered that in the "all about me" section. But art, theory, music, politics, good food and wine are all things I'm interested in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've gotten in the habit of trying to list every single musician, book and film that I like. But I'm not especially in the mood to do that right now, so here's what I'll do instead.

Movies: I'm a fan of the film festival, especially the Queer kind. I also love Woody Allen and silent films.

Music: I have eclectic tastes that are generally geared towards the folky or the undefinable. Basically, if there are great lyrics, I'm in.

Books: I haven't had too much time for recreational reading since grad school. I have a stack of books I'm waiting to read once I finish my thesis. Lately I've been reading a lot of theory.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can I get back to this? I have a lot of my lifetime left to do amazing things. But right now, I'm going to say it was the March for Women's Lives in 2004.

I can probably teach you to cook something if you want, or, I can give you an art historical tour of Buffalo.
