ABOUT ME

I'm a gardening yoga lover who spends her time studying soil. My practice is permaculture in the garden and in life. I love living in community with good friends sharing good food, bare feet and a bottle of wine. I'm known for my laughter, my groundedness, and my cinnamon raisin apple struesel among other fine things from the kitchen.

I've spent time experiencing agriculture in different ways, from interning at O.U.R. Ecovillage on the beautiful Vancouver Island working at an Agriculture Research Station. Cycle touring is my newest love and has opened up all sorts of possibilities for sustainable travel.

Currently I'm working on my Masters at UBC studying soil science and education...how do we train the next generation of soils experts to go out and deal with global environmental change?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I travel not just to see new places but to build connections with people along the way.

Right now I am living in a lovely shared house. Since all four of us are part of the CS community, we have delegated Carrie (http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/carriemck/), to navigate all the requests we get so contact her if you would like to stay with us. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Love hosting, love surfing.

Regardless of whether I'm hosting or surfing, I find I get the most out of the experience when I'm meeting folks with similar values around community and caring for the Earth. We might have different pass-times and hobbies, but it's important that we see the CouchSurfing networks as a means of interacting rather than simply a free place to crash.
