ABOUT ME

My name is Ashley, I'm 26 and I grew up in a small seaside town on the South East coast of England. I love to play, listen and dance to music, I love to grow, cook and eat lovely food, and I love making things out of what nature provides. When I moved to London for work 2 years ago I was consumed by the diversity of culture and I caught the travel bug! Now 2 years on my adventures can begin and I can't wait! I am very new to the CS project and can't wait to get more involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed through school as it was a long way from my home, it is very special being invited into someone's home. I grew up with a large family so I learned very early on how to respect other peoples space. I now live in a shared house of six and our couch is always open to a friend in need.

Interests

Music is my passion, I play the guitar, piano and my favourite, the ukulele. I enjoy being outdoors, swimming, eating food made with love, riding my bike, making bread, gardening, growing fruit and veg, learning new things, and meeting lovely people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I currently hold a world record for the most amount of people playing the ukulele at the same time, 851 people playing and singing 'Sloop John B' by the beach boys, it was very cool :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love picking up new instruments, especially from others cultures and I'm always ready to share my ukulele! I am very interested in growing my own food and self-sustaining living and would really like to share ideas.
