ABOUT ME
I'm a big kid, I like wholesome people, I just got engaged, and I've been living in Atlanta for two years now and like it.
PHILOSOPHY
People can be interesting and/or fun while maintaining wholesome lives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have attended get-togethers with other Couchsurfing folks in Des Moines. I found that getting to know the CS people in my local area is just as fun as getting to know the ones who are traveling around. I have also surfed a little bit and lived in a house that did couchsurfing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I lived in Arizona, my roommates and I had a German-American stay with us one week. She talked about how she could not live anywhere that did not have a Tango dance culture. When I lived in Des Moines, I got to know the local couchsurfing community and attended get-togethers with them. It was really fun.
Interests
Good conversations, reading biographies, local art, camping, canoeing, and Chinese checkers.

Music, Movies, and Books
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Canoeing down the San Juan River in the four corners area (Southwestern United States). The geology was so dynamic passing through that canyon - that's a big deal for rocks.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always up to practice my rusty intermediate Spanish with someone. I'd be happy to practice some amature stand-up comedy with you, I'm always working on a couple of good jokes. I'm always up to teach or learn a card game or any table game.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A winning smile. An eclectic music collection. Good conversation.
