About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have 3 goals in my life. I want make a difference in this world, I want to find my soulmate, and I want to discover the world with her and my friends. You think that's utopian ? Let's try then !

ABOUT ME

I'm a cheerful man for whom the most important things are nature, my friends and love. I hope that I'm an open minded person and I try to be wise and respectful to anyone.
I want to live my life fully, but I especially want it to be meaningful.

I love laughing, spend some quality time with my friends, travelling, doing sports, reading, watching movies or TV series, playing some video-games and of course, partying (even though less than before).
I also really enjoy learning (that's one of the reason that pushed me to become a scientist) and debating stuffs ! I freaking love my job and I also like teaching.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we got lost on the way of progress. Our societies, our way of lives are not viable in the long term. We must change our world to save ourselves and the environment. Cause without the nature, we're all dead... It sounds stupid said like that, but that's still factual.

I think respect is the key to change people and societies. If you respect others, nature and yourself, then you live in a sustainable way.
Personally, I respect anyone whose respectful and humble.

I'm a misanthropist, I do love people, but I hate the human kind for what it has becomes throughout the ages...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been pretty active in the CouchSurfing community few years ago. Now, I only host people when I'm available, that is not often (and I haven't done anything on this site for ages). And since I don't really have much time for travelling nowadays, I don't go couchsurfing much neither.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For now, my CS experiences have been great, so I'm pretty eager to carry on...

Interests

I try to do as much sport as I can, especially mountain sports. When I can, I practice ski, rock climbing, paragliding, hiking, slacklining, juggling and kayaking (and I'm starting to do alpinism as well). I also play football (soccer), basketball, tennis, table tennis etc.

The thing that interest me the most is nature. So I'm really interested in sciences, politics, economy, geopolitics and, in fact, in almost every subject that is connected directly or remotely to our planet, our societies and the means to change them.

Consequently, I like travels, and I'd like to move all my life if I only I could.
I'm also fond of food (normal for a french guy) and good alcohol, and it's one of the biggest problem during travels: find good food and good wine/rum/beer/cognac/armagnac etc.! But I would not complain, I'm just really happy when I come back home to eat in good restaurants or at my mum's and to go to my favorite bar!

To be original, like most people I really enjoy music, either by playing or listening (and I sing A LOT !).

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big fan of great stories, in books, in movies or even in video games!

So I love Tolkien books: the Silmarillon, the Lord of the Rings, the Unfinished Tales and all the others...
By the way, I also recommend "Le Petit Prince" from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a wonderful book for kids and grown ups.

My favorite movies are probably Forest Gump, The Green Line, Million Dollar Baby, Meet Joe Black, Into the Wild, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Le Professionnel, Will Hunting, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Edward Scissor-hands, Jeux d'Enfants, Kill Bill, Philadelphia, Inception, Avatar, The Piannist, La Rafle and so many more...

For music, it's simple, I like every kind of music (which doesn't mean that I love every artists or every songs), from classic to hip-hop, from reggae to metal, from rock'n roll to electronic music, from groove to latino music, from folk to soul... But the kinds I love the most are probably Indie, Soul, Rhythm and Blues, Funk, Rock and variety.

I couldn't tell you who are my favorites artists, they are to many... The one I love the most is maybe George Brassens; but unfortunately you won't be able to understand all the beauty of his lyrics if French isn't your native language!

Teach, Learn, Share

Respect the nature, respect the others, respect yourself. Don't play the game of selfish and corrupted people...

Help me, help us, help yourself building a better world...
