Overview
About Me
I'm really curious, especially about the world and travelling a lot. I love Asia since I fell in love with China, but now live in Tokyo. Tend to read a lot and criticise, as well as see art, watch movies, go to see exhibitions, and concerts (experimental and techno, but also many kinds of music). On the whole I enjoy discovering life and drifting from one place to another.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people from everywhere, and experience something else than hotels or an impersonal place ; I would like to know more about the places I go through the couch surfers.
Music, Movies, and Books
Films by Visconti, Howard Hawkes, Ozu, Hou Hsiao Hsien, Edward Yang, Wong Kar Wai, Apichatpong W, Wang Bing, Godard, Truffaut, Almodovar, Michel Gomez... Books : many contemporary writers, Coetzee, Philip Roth, Don Delillo, but also Asians (Murakami, Mo Yan, Lao She...) and classics such as Melville, Henry James, Virginia Woolf, Proust, Flaubert, Stendhal, Shakespeare, Sebald, Thoreau. I love philosophy as well (Nietzsche, Foucault, Derrida, and contemporary philosophers).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A trip in Xinjiang in the west of China in 2010, and Tibet in 2016 to go near the Everest
