About Me
Hey there! I'm a 20 year old girl from Montreal and I just came back from a 6 month traveling experience in the Middle East. I was lucky to witness the beauty of Palestine, Jordan and Iran. I had much bigger plans, but unfortunatly, due to some health issue, I had to come back home and miss Turkey, Iraq and Lebanon. I was studying Sciences but had a really hard time enjoying it so I decided to take some time off the experience something as different as possible from what I'm used to live.
I left Montréal last August and spent three months in Palestine and one month in Jordan yet. Both experiences were just amazing. I always felt supportive for what the palestinian cause and going there just gave me the confirmation that I had to spread the word about this situation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I realised during the past few months how much more you could discover of a country from the eyes of a local. That little restaurant so cheap but so good, this park in the middle of no where, the unknown amazing view of the city, etc... Those can't be discovered from Lonely Planet, only by those who lived there from their whole life.
I also think that travel should be more about sharing with others than just sight-seeing. Don't get me wrong, I love visiting beautiful places like anyone else, but I enjoy even more sharing a simple meal with someone I just met or spend the night talking with my host about our shared interests.
Now that I am back, I want to give back what I've experienced with Couchsurfing to my comrade travellers.
Interests
Living in Québec province, I always a HUGE interest on the topic of sovereignty and independance. Because I always fought for Québec's independance, I also support Palestine, Kurdistan, Scotland, Catalonia so many other nations who fight for their own independance.
This means that I am also interested a lot in politics in general and history. I am very curious and because I am still young, I know I have a LOT to learn from others.
I also enjoy music a lot. I played the cello for 8 years and the piano for 4 years. I am very open about any style, and I always try to add foreign music on my phone.

Music, Movies, and Books
''The Kite Runner'' is probably the first book that I liked from school. It was my first introduction to the Middle Eastern/Asian culture and I am sure it is one of the many reasons I decided to travel in the Middle East this year.
Harry Potter (I know, not very original) was also a HUGE part of my childhood. I don't even know how many times I read the books. My friend and I used to be almost addicted to that story.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first solo trip at 17 yo was definitly an interesting one. I went to South East Asia (Vietnam and Cambodia) and had an amazing time. It gave me a big boost of confidence in myself.
My time in Palestine and Jordan was truly life-changing. I met incredible people and made friends for life, I listened to so many touching stories, laughed to tears so many times, cried of sadness many times too, saw the most beautiful places in the world in my opinion of course (Petra, Wadi Rum, Nablus...) and created wonderful memories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you French I you are interested and even a little bit of English if you are just interested in the basics (I'm pretty fluent in English but not a native). I can tell you a lot about Québec's politics and fight for independance and maybe share stories of my incredible trip in the Middle East!
I am curious about everything, especially learning arabic and your country's politics and history! I want to hear stories, again and again; I think we, as humans, needs to share more with our brothers and sisters!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Anything, anything, anything. The smallest things are usually the best; cooking, walking around the city, drink coffee of tea, I just hope that I will spend as much time as possible with you guys, humans of the world!
